Honestly, I benefited a lot. I understood the types of behavior, when it's sensory and when it's behavioral, how to deal with it, and how and when to use motivators. I really gained information I had never thought of before. I understood it, and it will help me understand my child's emotions and behavior
What I benefited from today’s course is that I now understand exactly what the behavior is and how to deal with it. It’s not just about stopping it or controlling it; I need to understand its causes and triggers and work on them. There should also be flexibility in dealing with the child. This is the basic principle I will apply to all unwanted behaviors.
And in order to integrate the child, we must learn the right skills and reduce the wrong behaviors. We avoid the problem from the beginning by understanding the child, knowing what triggers them, and what causes their distress. We also understand the difference between a meltdown and anger, and how to deal with each.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Ms. Rania and Ms. Yalda. Honestly, I have always read about ABA and listened to short clips, and when I first saw the course advertisement, I hesitated. I didn’t register at first, but in the end, I decided to, thinking there would probably be nothing new and that it would be the same things I had already read and researched. However, I told myself I would try, keep an open mind, and not judge—and truly, I never regretted it at all.
